I forgot to mention, I'm obssessed with macaroni and cheese, and I'm continually on a search for the best. If a restaurant offers it, you will absolutely hear my review on that. In fact, I'll give you a Top 5 list right now (and there will be more details in some of my retro posts):
1. My great-grandmother's recipe - Hazel Breitenstein (if you're lucky I'll share this one with you)
2. The Lady's Cheesy Mac - The Lady and Sons (Paula Deen's restaurant) - Savannah, GA
3. Not Your Ordinary Mac and Cheese - J. Alexander's - All locations
4. Macaroni and Cheese - Yo Mama - New Orleans, LA
5. Twisted Mac and Cheese (It's a whole entree!!!!) - Hard Rock Cafe - All locations
Of course, this ranking is subject to change as I continue my quest!

I'm just a regular girl who loves to find new delicious foods. It will be a little bit of restaurant reviews, a little bit of at-home recipe critiques, and lots of fun. I'm by no means a professional food critic, so don't expect fancy words and uppity descriptions. I call it like it is, and you can expect a "regular person's" opinion on what I find.

Hello!!
So I've decided to start this blog because I love food. I've been travelling a lot recently, including Chicago, Savannah, Atlanta, and New Orleans (hey, I like the South!!), and every time I go to any restaurant I take pictures of the food I order. I guess to me food is as important to the trip as anything else. When I was in New Orleans, my friend Katie said, "You should make a blog about all the food you try." I thought, "Hey, why not?" So here I am, starting a blog about my adventures in food. The first few entries will be retro ones about some of the places I really enjoyed in my last few adventures. I also love to cook at home, so you'll see my end results, and I'll post the recipe I used too! As I say above, I am in no means a professional food critic, so you're not going to get some hoity-toity critique that leaves you unsure as to whether the food was any good or not. And when I come across tasty cocktails and wines, you'll hear about those too. Guten Appetit!! (That's German for "Enjoy your meal!!)
